We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with a strong background in Canadian taxation and private enterprise accouting. The firm specializes in providing sophisticated and timely advice to our loyal clients, most of whom are high networth individuals with significant investment holdings.
We are looking for a CPA with a minimum of seven years of Canadian public practice experience, with significant exposure to tax compliance and planning. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and is interested in advancing their career in a focused, client-first environment.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing compiled financial statements and complex income tax returns (T1, T2, T3, T5013);
Other filings include UHT, T3010, T2054, 2057, T1134, T1135, NR4, NR6, Section 216 returns;
Responding to CRA review letters and drafting Notice of Objections and other election forms;
Drafting tax planning memos for reorganizations;
Preparing safe income calculations, pro-forma tax calculations, and other modeling.
Assisting with slide decks for technical tax training updates;
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

What you bring:
Passion for Canadian Income Tax and private enterprise accounting;
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in public accounting;
CPA designation;
Completed, enrolled in, or willing to pursue, the CPA In-Depth Tax Program;
Completed, enrolled in, or willing to pursue, the STEP program;
Strong written and verbal communication abilities;
Excellent time-management, organizational, and self-motivation skills;
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
Enthusiastic about contributing to the design and implementation of client tax planning strategies;
Strong client service orientation with the ability to understand client businesses and foster lasting relationships.
This is a permanent, full-time position, 35 hours a week.
